Anyone Know Any Secrets to Illusions Performed by Criss Angel?
So Criss is basically my role model i totally LOVE his show and his tricks and honestly I think if I got to meet him I would fall over and die xD. Anyway, his tricks are soo awesome that I really wanna learn some myself. I bought his magic kit but that doesn't really show you how to push a quarter through a can and stuff like that, and as much as I love my card tricks, I really wanna start getting in to more big time illusions 
...so in case you haven't figured it out, I'm sort of a magician in need of some tricks from my role model xD SOOO if you have any cool tricks that you know of his and possibly some links to pics, articles, and vids explaining them, can you leave them below?
PS...I already know the dissappearing toothpick and quarter through a can...figured I would mention it because i know those are the 2 most commonly left

Illusionists are very secretive about how they perform tricks. To be honest, Criss Angel is a good looking guy and he is charming but he isn't a great illusionist. If you compare him to more talented people, he is really mediocre. It is great that he inspires you but if you are looking to get into the art of illusion he isn't the best person to study.
I thought Criss was great when I saw him on TV. I had the biggest crush on him. THEN I saw him live in Vegas and my image of him was shattered forever. He isn't some spiritual guru...He is just an egotistical jerk and the show was AWFUL! Go ahead and look up the reviews, most of them are horrible. Without the magic of editing and camera angles, his tricks looked really fake and obvious. I saw wires, trap doors, stunt doubles and all kinds of other mistakes. I have seen better magic shows done by armatures. Criss has no stage presence and he isn't a great live performer.
So sorry to burst your bubble. Criss is not great and neither are his tricks. On TV with all the music, actors and special effects the tricks look cool. In person it isn't hard to figure out how they are done. If you want to become an illusionist there are places you can take classes and books you can read. I love the art of illusion and as a kid I was really into it...It is too bad that people like Criss get famous when there are so many more talented people out there. I hope this answers your question!
